Count n crunch Cookie Monster ...a review

So this is my first review but I just wanted to do it as huggable just loved this toy. Last christmas my uncle wanted to get the Cookie Monster for her as he gets called cookey n we thought this was cool, anyway couldn't get hold of one anywhere. Fast forward to this wrk and the glam-ma surprised us with one. Basically you feed him the three cookies he comes with and he counts burps and sings songs. The cookies come out in the backpack so you can keep the game going over and over. Upon opening it I was impressed with its size for little hands and the quality if the product. It took seconds to get going and huggable adored it. She sat for about 20 minutes quietly mesmerised by this little gobbling beast in front if her and even said pardon me when he burped. I was able to enjoy a full cup of tea ( yes ladies a FULL one!) hearing giggles and babbles from her as she played with him. Cookie Monster has lived with us for three days now and huggable shows no sign of being bored with him the poor blue buddy gets carted round all over and even has to enjoy a ride or two with dolly in the pram. She sits andays with him then withho off to do something g else but returns over and over to her new blue cookie eating companion. Well done playskool on a fab toy!!

(Please note I was not paid for this review and I or rather glam-ma paid full price for the product )

Lol mama

Sometimes the huggable does something so lovely and sweet that I literally feel my heart swell fit to burst. This gorgeous caring little sunbeam like playing mamas with her dollies lastnight while playing before bedtime I watched as she ever so carefully n tenderly put her baba to "peep" in the pram tucked it in kissed its head and said ssssh baba then rocked the pram. It was such a beautiful thing to see it touched my tender soul so.
The fact that my girlie did all this in a pair of my heels just makes me even prouder !!

Becoming my mother

I think we all become our mothers at some point in time and whilst some ladies may meet this with a groan it is something I take as a compliment. All my life I have been told "oh aren't you like your mum" and truth be told if I can be half the mum mine was I will be happy. You see I come from a long line of fabulous mothers and hope to keep it up and show my daughter how to be one when she has children. I was born to be a mama this I have always known and having the huggable one literally makes me purr with contentment. My mother sung songs to me that I in turn sing to my daughter I fact I used to tell people my mum knew a song about everything! I noticed how much she must have instilled in me when I began humming a tune to my newborn daughter that I didn't know only for my mum to say that's Michael row your boat ashore I sung that to you and grandad sung it to me. It has been kept tucked away in a little pocket in my memories for this perfect moment holding my newborn days old daughter. I also remember my mum and baby brother coming to school to have our photo taken i still see that one in my mind my mum had highlighted short hair pearly lipstick and a pearl broach(that I would later dress up with) and I thought my mummy's the best she's the prettiest nicest mummy ..she truly was.
We now have the proudest moments when the four generations my nana my mum myself and hope are together and get comments like "oh four generation and aren't you all alike?".
For all these reasons I hope that when people say to the huggable one shes like her mum that like me instead of a cringe she pushes her chest out and smiles "yes..yes I am".
Your just like you mum....

Bubbles and giggles

The huggable one is a real water baby she loves bath time especially when it's at the glam-parents house with lots of bubbles. Glam-ma told her she looked like an angel so huggable decided that everyone needed angel make overs!!

Grandparents

So this weeks heritage post is dedicated to those wonderful people grandparents, the ones that say yes when parents say no, the ones who sneak us sweets n say ssshhh don't tell the ones who are just plain old fun. This Thursday we spoke my nana and I about what becoming a grandparent does. My nana told me that following the birth of my mum her dad came home from work and sat next to the Moses basket all night n wouldn't move. This was a man with big square hands who went to the desert during the war was missing for a long time and who quietly got on with life feeling his heart swell at the sight of his first grandchild. My great grandparents Charlie and Peggy were the role models for generations after. They adored my mum and later my uncle(there's a 12 year gap) when new year came my nana came home to see peggy out on the balcony with my 9 month old mother because "she wanted to hear the boat horns n see the fireworks!! Charlie had said he would never be out if the workhouse when my mum was born and well he almost wasn't!! When she was about 18mo this old and dispite living in a flat he say a model Aston Martin in a car showroom ( like the new rac add) and promptly bought it for her!! We always say peggy knew how to shop and have us this legacy to match a bag with shoes!! When my nana and grandad became grandparents they were pretty much the same. We always had fun with grandad George and nana Barbara. My grandad was the daft one he would play a penny whistle n march round the garden with the grand kids marching behind like the pied piper and he even played Santa Claus for me when I worked at a nursery I still maintain he was the best Santa ever...ho ho ho and all. I remember him showing me how to tie fishing flies in the kitchen while nana cleaned the fish he caught and as for my nana she showed me how to cross stitch and was also up for shopping. She still is one of my favoriate people to be around. Many years down the line and its my parents turn and boy are they shaping up to be amazing! Hope could not be more adored cherished and loved. My mum is living up to her legacy and is an amazing shopper and my dad is the daftest bugger there is he even lets her call him lazybones and brews drinks of tea for her at the mear wave if a hand. So here's to grandparents a childs first best friend.
